Exotic Holiday destinations

For the past 2 years I see a trend amongst my friends. They are not interested in the usual holiday destinations anymore. They begin to avoid places like Bangkok, Hong Kong, Australia, USA or even China. So where are they heading to these days?

Iceland is a very popular destination now. Out of 10 friends, 6 has gone there ! Surprising right? Not really. Singaporeans are a well travelled bunch. We do have a bit of money, & we have been to all the neighbouring countries twice over. So to proceed to more exotic destinations seem almost natural.

Now what about myself you might ask. Haha.... Me in Iceland ? That'll be like a NEVER !!! I don't see the fascination about the Northern Lights. True they are beautiful, but seeing the lights online is better right? What if you are there, you couldn't  catch it? It's known to happen. And it's like super freezing. Plus many of my friends who were armed with only a hp, couldn't even capture the beautiful lights. It seems you'll need a camera , probably with the right speed as well. Sigh... that'll be too much trouble for me. And have you seen the terrain? It's kinda barren & not as pretty as said, New Zealand ....lol....

Why I started a Blog on Trends ???

 Is this even about trends at all, or is it all only  in my mind?
Well, I've been called many things.Unfortunately Trendy has NEVER been one of them!
In the past some friends said I look like I come from some village!!!
I'm sometimes conventional & some of my habits are strange!!!
 Hmmm... got to do something about that right?
So I tell myself, I'll be more observant & follow the trend now.
Look out for new things.
See what's up & coming & hopefully be a part of it.

Gluten-free junk food is a real superstar in holy world of food. This is because about a third of the US is actively trying to avoid gluten. And people here are following suit, as with everything else. 

Since gluten has become the world’s biggest enemy, many food manufacturers have come up with a whole bunch of new gluten-free products that are supposedly the best food choice you can make. 

Don’t forget these products are still junk food, besides the fact they contain no gluten. These are highly processed foods and contain absolutely no nutrients. Instead of lying to yourself, eat foods that are naturally gluten-free and not gluten-free junk foods

Vault@268, private safe boxes in Singapore

Do you know that we have private safe deposit boxes in Singapore?
Frankly not many people know, traditionally if you want a safe box, you go to the bank.

Well as Singapore is too damn small & banks are not going to allot anymore space to low yield safe boxes, private operators are stepping in. Naturally it's not cheap as compared to the ones you get from the banks. Those from the banks is almost like a complimentary service, so it's much cheaper .

The latest is Vault@268 located right at 268 Orchard rd (Yen San Building). The small boxes will set you back $888 a year while the large boxes costs $1388.

You'll probably ask, why would anyone pay this kind of money for a safe box? Well for one, there's a long Q at the banks for their dwindling boxes. They are reducing existing numbers as we speak. Also the private boxes are not for the normal folks like you & me, they are targeting at people with MONEY, probably staying around Orchard maybe:)

Also there's a number of advantages as you can access your box anytime, 24/7. Banking hours & procedures are just too restrictive. So if you have some ingots of gold & other valuables, you might want to give this a try.

France bans Super-thin Models

Well it's about time right?

So now these models need to  have at least BMI 18 before being hired for a job. Any one that hire those that are thinner could possibly be fined & jailed. Interesting right? I wonder how would this impact the industry. The models could finally eat something nice for a change...lol....

But frankly anyone with a BMI of anything between  20 to 18 could easily carry clothes beautifully. They dont need models that are any thinner right? It also makes the rest of us feel better in a way :)

Has biking been gaining popularity here?

Dont know about you, but I seem to be seeing an increased number of bikers around these past couple of years. What caught my attention  is obviously the biker's attire. They really look sharp & good with tight bums......LOL...... Love the helmets most though!

What's interesting is, I also noticed most of those who had been cycling past me, were usually very fit. So is it because they are fit to start with, that's why they look great in those tight outfits or they "lost" weight due to the cycling activity? Which ever way, keep cycling guys, you are a pleasure to my eyes .....hahaha.....

Well there's a solution now. My colleague just adopted a digital cat ....lol.... It's all the rage now, at least amongst my friends. Each has a cat now (digital that is ...lol...)

This is what you do, just go to the site www.drawacat.net/home & it'll take you through step by step on how you create your own personalized cat on your pc. Best part is, it'll even animate your 'cat' so that you can interact with it.

There you have it! You've got a cat, your mummy is happy, you can compare your cat with your friend's pet ....have fun !
