A New Earth Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by Eckhart Tolle

A friend gave me a book, A New Earth  Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by a weird looking guy named Eckhard Tolle. Ok I'm sure you'll heard of him as he's HUGE in the spiritual business of self help.

In summary he said we are governed by an inner voice. This voice is constantly talking non-stop, from the moment we wake up till we sleep at night. Most of the stuff is negative, repetitive & centers on oneself. It also mostly judge & label everything, even our own actions & intentions. According to him, this inner narrator is what is commonly known as the EGO. He claimed that we fail to recognize our thoughts for what they are- which is just bursts of psychic energy that exist in our head, & this is one of our biggest error. As a result we mindlessly act out our thoughts which usually ends up badly. Hmmm.... sounds familiar doesn't it? No wonder his books sell so well! He practically sums up every human on Earth ....lol...

He went on to say the ego is never ever contented. No matter how much money we have, how may beautiful things we own, how good our jobs are, it's never enough for the ego. Talking about me Mr Tolle?  ....lol... I just had an increment & promotion, & I am not satisfied at all. I was thinking they should have given me more ! WOW!

Another thing about this ego is, it loves comparison. We end up comparing our self to everyone we know & even those we don't know, & in all areas: wealth , looks & social status just to name a few.

Ego also loves drama. By reliving old resentments through compulsive thoughts, it keeps our discontentment very much alive. Besides the obsession about the past, it's very much actively thinking & fantasizing about the future as well. Thus leaving nothing for the present.

Tolle stresses that the present moment is all we have. We experienced everything in our past through the present moment & we will experience everything in the future the same way.

WOW... he's like talking about me. I'm a rather impatient person. I like to do things fast, I missed out on many things because of that. I am also guilty of being impatient with people, as a result, I might come off as seeming rude at times. Sigh....

Anyway, the interesting part of the book is where he claims that being in the present moment slow down the aging process & made the 'molecular structure' of the body 'less dense'. Because thoughts have their own range of frequencies, with negative thoughts at the lower end of the scale & positive thoughts at the higher end. Well are you convince yet?
Well I am, I'm thinking of signing up for a meditation class soon. Got to stay in the present moment NOW !!!!

What do you think of this?
But isn't a happy life perfect?

My friend said NO.
She said: A perfect life is more than just being happy, you need to have tons of money, famous, very healthy, very intelligent, Have glamorous figure & face & skin, great career, perfect spouse & kids!

Would you let your boyfriend wear Rompers or would you break up with him if he wears it?

Would you let your boyfriend wear this or would you break up with him if he wears it?

Just recently, RompHim rompers for men debuted online, and there are a lot of mixed responses.
Designed by LA-based brand Hologram City, the shorts come in many different colors, including pink, blue, green, purple, and yellow. They’re see through and made of all lace fabric, plus you can get a matching top to match them as well!

From all the responses, I don't see it becoming a trend ....lol...

Willie, the famous yorkie

My friend Tyra has a Yorkshire terrier 'BoBo'. Loved her to death, yesterday was her grooming day. She ask me what kind of 'style' should she go for. I was like ....WHAT ? I don't know, I don't have a dog not even a pet fish. Anyway she sms me this :

Me: WOW !!!! that's BoBo?
Tyra: No that's not BoBo, it's Willie, the famous yorkie with the gorgeous hair!
Me: Isn't that like pretty intense?
Tyra: It's beautiful !
Me: Willie is a boy right? and with this hair?
Tyra: that's what I thought, but it'll be perfect for BoBo!

Long story short, the groomer was not impressed either. She said ya... it's cute for a photo shot but not practical. Tyra was quite disappointed. And I was happy for BoBo. I wouldn't want to look like a crazy pup either ....lol...

Choose your major with care

A master's degree in history is like a sixth toe: it's kind of cool to have but there's not a lot you can do with it. Both my boy friend & his sister spend more than 10 years studying in America. My boy friend doing business & his sister , masters in History ! He could easily get a job but She has sent out 100s of applications & wound up with 2 options: teaching in some high school in America or come back & try her luck here.

Both of them decided to come back. She told me, the thought of American teenagers is enough in giving her acid reflux ...lol...
I've never ask her why choose history? My boy friend told me could be her strange fixation on the movie "Night at the museum" ...seriously ????

Adjusting to life back home, after years abroad .

Today the bf sent me this:
Hmmm.... I'm a little worried about him now. Frankly, he's not all weird or anything like that. He's just a little sensitive & not used to the local people's attitude. He had spent most of his life studying in the States & has just got back.

In fact most people treats him very nice as he's charming & that 'accent' does help ...haha... But he needs to get used to people not being as 'open' as the Americans. He even feels 'alienated' with his own family. Wonder if he feels that about me? Oh Boy...Do I have to start worrying about that as well?
