Leaving the boyfriend, the truth finally !

Since I helped my friend moved out from her boy friend's place while he was away last month, lots had happened. When he came back he was shocked to find her things gone. She didn't return his calls , so he called me (me being her buddy) . I told him the truth , which was, I didn't know what the hell was happening as well. I also own up that I was the one who helped her moved , not some strange guy- I hope that makes him feel better.

He has been calling & texting me, as if I know the answer. Well I'm curious too, so I ask her. What went wrong. We met up for dinner last night. She said there were things she think it's time to explain, she needed to unburden herself & I thought , oh here we go, she's going to get it off her chest & dump in on mine! GREAT ..... It felt like she's holding on to my hand like she had fallen into quicksand & I was the one pulling her out.

So... what was it? Apparently she had been going through his things, while he was away. He had about 5 credit cards from different banks, all max out & he's only paying the minimum payment for each card per month. He now owe almost $40K in credit card bills !!!!! Also he has not pay his rental for his posh apartment for more then 3 months already (rental is $4,500- per month). The landlord has sent him a lawyer's letter to chase for the money.

WOW.... she looked at me & all I could think of is, thank goodness she has the sense to move out before it's too late! Has he ask money from her? No she said. But we figured it wont be long if she stays on. But what happened to him? She don't know. And i agree it might be better she don't ask. What's the point right?
She suspect it's gambling !!!
Me too!
How we wish this would happen right? But ....

Leaving only after one week of cohabiting?

My good friend has decided to move out of her boy friend's house after only 1 week of cohabiting. LOL..... no, they are not breaking up, just that she find it too restrictive. I was assign the task to help her as he was out of town. She planned it that way, so that "he can't beg her to stay". Ya, I know.... she insisted that they are not breaking up! Well....

She claim she's leaving all the crap behind. But totally contradicted the statement by towing away 3
suitcases full of stuff! She only brought 1 suit case when she moved in a week ago, yes I was there for that event too, as we were celebrating her moving in. How did she accumulate 2 more suit cases of stuff within a week? I hope she's not taking his things as that would make me the accompanist.

Would have to interrogate her later.

Why cant the leap year, 29th Feb be a holiday?

That's right, Why cant the leap year, 29th Feb be a holiday? It happens only once in 4 years for whatever reason (goggle it ) so why cant it be a national holiday?

Dream on my colleague said. Come to think of it, working on the 29th Feb, which is going to be a Monday this year means we are working an extra day. Not fair, I'm still on vacation mode ever since the CNY & Valentine's day. It'll be perfect if the 29th Feb be declared a national holiday as well.

Anyway, we are going to celebrate after work tomorrow. Dinning & drinks on the Boss! Well we'll have to settle for that.

Writing will help you lose weight !?

That's what my new colleague claimed, she also claimed she only sleeps 3-4 hours per day! I look at her: no dark eye circles, no eye bags, looks fresh like a daisy & she sleeps only 3-4 hrs per day? Is that even possible? If I dont have at least 6-7 hrs, I'll look terrible the next day & no make-up will help .

Anyway back to her first claim. She said there's such a study & it proves that if you daily write about any subject that you are passionate about for about 15 minutes, the activity itself will help prevent your "snacking habit". Hmm...... only 15 minutes? What about the rest of the time? You can sneak in a snack or two during those times right? I told her that & she seem truly annoyed with me....lol..

Exotic Holiday destinations

For the past 2 years I see a trend amongst my friends. They are not interested in the usual holiday destinations anymore. They begin to avoid places like Bangkok, Hong Kong, Australia, USA or even China. So where are they heading to these days?

Iceland is a very popular destination now. Out of 10 friends, 6 has gone there ! Surprising right? Not really. Singaporeans are a well travelled bunch. We do have a bit of money, & we have been to all the neighbouring countries twice over. So to proceed to more exotic destinations seem almost natural.

Beautiful right?
Now what about myself you might ask. Haha.... Me in Iceland ? That'll be like a NEVER !!! I don't see the fascination about the Northern Lights. True they are beautiful, but seeing the lights online is better right? What if you are there, you couldn't  catch it? It's known to happen. And it's like super freezing. Plus many of my friends who were armed with only a hp, couldn't even capture the beautiful lights. It seems you'll need a camera , probably with the right speed as well. Sigh... that'll be too much trouble for me. And have you seen the terrain? It's kinda barren & not as pretty as said, New Zealand ....lol....

Why I started a Blog on Trends ???

Is this even about trends at all, or is it all only  in my mind?
Well, I've been called many things.Unfortunately Trendy has NEVER been one of them!
In the past some friends said I look like I come from some village!!!
I'm sometimes conventional & some of my habits are strange!!!
Hmmm... got to do something about that right?
So I tell myself, I'll be more observant & follow the trend now.
Look out for new things.
See what's up & coming & hopefully be a part of it.
haha.... trying......

Are you taking any Gluten-free junk food?

Gluten-free junk food is a real superstar in holy world of food. This is because about a third of the US is actively trying to avoid gluten. And people here are following suit, as with everything else.

Since gluten has become the world’s biggest enemy, many food manufacturers have come up with a whole bunch of new gluten-free products that are supposedly the best food choice you can make.

Don’t forget these products are still junk food, besides the fact they contain no gluten. These are highly processed foods and contain absolutely no nutrients. Instead of lying to yourself, eat foods that are naturally gluten-free and not gluten-free junk foods
